Saint-Martin
The island of Saint Martin is a little known paradise for ornithologists, thanks to the nine lakes in the island’s nature reserve, run by Romain RENOUX. We observe these winged voyagers in the company of Philippe BOUVIER.
_ici_“More than 80 species of birds come here to nest, to rest or feed in St Martin’s lakes. (…) The West Indies forms a sort of bridge between North and South America, enabling birds to avoid a crossing of several thousand kilometres. Its not very well known to European ornithologists. However they like seeing North American species. This area is very good for that; you can see a lot of different species during the migration season.”
